Schuylkill man jailed in threats incident

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Aug. 3 following a threats incident.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 10:55 a.m. along the Gold Star Highway in Shenandoah. Troopers responded to the area for a report of a man threatening people with a gun. On scene a 60-year-old man from Mahanoy Plane, who troopers did not identify, was taken into custody.

He is accused of threatening a 52-year-old man from Tamaqua and a 47-year-old man from Plymouth, Luzerne County.

The suspect was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
