Lehighton Borough Council took the following action on Monday:
• Agreed to have the Lehighton Ambulance Association as the designated provider for primary Advanced Life Support/Basic Life Support for the borough.
• Approved payment request No. 3 in the amount of $234,193 for the Beaver Run Circuit Upgrade Project.
• Approved payment request No. 6 in the amount of $96,989 for the Lehighton Area Memorial Library Project.
• Awarded the 2000 Mini Dump Truck to Kevin Fox in the amount of $13,501.
• Agreed to release the bond for the AutoZone Land Development Project.
• Appointed Karen Reichard as the police department Right-to-Know Officer.
• Denied a request from the Jim Thorpe Borough for fire police assistance for pedestrian crossing, vehicular traffic and crowd control for October 2020 weekends.
• Approved the ratification of COVID-19 “Task Force” actions since July 6.
