Pa. virus total reaches 115,000

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of midnight, that there are 854 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 115,009.

Allegheny County is reporting an increase of 132 cases and Philadelphia County is reporting an increase of 131 cases.

The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between July 28 and August 3 is 150,145 with 5,891 positive cases. There were 22,579 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., August 3. These results represent the total number of tests administered.

There are 7,232 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 23 new deaths reported. Locally, Carbon County has added four new cases for a total of 364 cases, with 28 deaths.

In Lehigh County, there are 18 new cases for a total of 4,871. Deaths remain at 335.

Luzerne County is reporting 3,352 cases. Deaths remain at 183.

In Monroe there are 10 new cases, bringing the total to 1,608. One additional death was reported for a total of 124.

Northampton County logged 15 new cases, bringing the total to 3,878. Deaths remain at 290.

Schuylkill County had four new cases. The total is 900, with 49 deaths.
