NCC hosts presentations

Diversity in the workplace

Join Northampton Community College and the Lehigh Valley Safety Committee from 2-3:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 for a free interactive Zoom presentation defining key terminology around diversity, equity and inclusion and the issues facing companies today.

Additionally, attendees will explore how the concepts apply to professional work while considering ways to build a “business case” toward inclusion. Small group discussions will be interwoven throughout the session.

Participation is limited and the session will not be recorded.

Certified recovery specialist course

NCC will offer a course “Certified Recovery Specialist” on Saturdays, Aug. 22 to Dec. 19, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in room 363, Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem.

Understanding the requirements of certification along with the role of the CRS in practice is critical before committing to training.

This is a fee-based course. To see requirements for certification and to enroll, visit the course catalog on www.northampton.edu/healthcarecerts or call 610-332-6585.
