LCCC Holds Virtual Parent Info Session

Lehigh Carbon Community College will hold a virtual information session specifically for parents of prospective students interested in enrolling for the fall semester at noon on Tuesday.

Entitled “LCCC the Possibility: Maximize the Fall,” the session will address questions parents have about the options LCCC offers students who may have originally planned to attend an area university but are considering staying close to home. It will also be of interest to all parents of incoming students.

Representatives from enrollment services, financial aid, advising and academics will be available to answer questions.

At the session, parents will learn about courses and programs, faculty expertise, modes of delivery and the transferability of credits to four-year universities.

The college is practicing social distancing and requires masks to be worn on campus.

Most classes in the fall semester at LCCC will be offered in an online or remote format. Classes begin Aug. 22. Remote classes provide a live, real-time, virtual classroom experience for students who do not attend class in person. Online classes provide course content, assignments, and all assessments within the Canvas learning management system accessible through the student’s mylccc portal. Certain hands-on or equipment-based courses will include a face-to-face element.

Students can apply for admission online at www.LCCC.edu.
