One person was injured Sunday afternoon in a crash in West Penn Township.

The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. as a man was operating a pickup truck south on Fort Franklin Road.

As he was climbing the Blue Mountain he lost control, went off the road and hit a tree. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the New Ringgold ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to an area trauma center.

West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
