Two people were seriously injured Thursday morning when the vehicle they were in was involved in a crash near Weatherly. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the intersection of Route 93 and Brenkman Drive in Packer Township involving a sport utility vehicle and a military truck. Reports from the scene said a woman driving the SUV pulled out from Brenkman Drive into the path of the southbound military vehicle. Weatherly fire department, as well as Lehighton and Mahoning Valley and Valley Regional ambulances, responded. Both occupants of the SUV were flown from the scene.
