Route 54 in the village of Hauto is closed due to a fatal crash.

The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. in front of the Hauto fire station. Initial reports were as many as four vehicles were involved including a motorcycle. Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.

Nesquehoning police are investigating the incident. Route 54 between Nesquehoning and Hometown is shut down after reports of a four-vehicle crash occurred this afternoon.

Crews from Nesquehoning and Rush Township fire departments were called in, as well as police and fire police, who shut down the road between Tonoli and Industrial roads.
