Crashes in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers:

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:25 a.m. on July 7 along Deep Creek Road in Hegins Township. Troopers said Trista L. Dumboski, 33, of Ashland, was driving a 2007 Kia Optima westbound and was unable to stop in time for a tree that had fallen onto the roadway. The vehicle had to be towed and Dumboski was not injured.

A crash was reported at 8:02 p.m. on June 21 along Airport Road in Barry Township. William D. Cole, 39, of Pottsville, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle westbound when he lost control of the bike causing it to overturn onto its left side. The bike then slid across both the right and left lanes for about 130 feet. At some point Cole was left the bike. He sustained serious head trauma and transported by Shenandoah ambulance to a landing zone where a medical helicopter flew him to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:48 a.m. on June 24 along Route 209 in Tremont Township. Troopers said Kevin C. Snyder, 47, of Sacramento, Schuylkill County, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, northbound when he fell sleep at the wheel. The vehicle left the road on the right side, went down a dirt embankment and rolled over before hitting a tree.

Snyder was treated at the scene for a minor injury. The vehicle had to be towed.

He was cited for the crash.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:12 p.m. on June 24 along Route 125 in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said Robert J. Cedeno, 41, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager southbound when he fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle traveled into the opposite lane of travel and then went through a grassy embankment before striking a tree along the north berm. The vehicle came to final rest in a yard against a tree.

Cedeno was injured and taken to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was cited for the crash.

Another one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:19 p.m. on July 3 along Route 895 in Wayne Township. Troopers said Daniel P. Hillbish, 40, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound when he lost control while negotiating a right curve. The bike slid into the grass along the berm.

Hillbish and his passenger, Dustina M. Hillbish, 39, same address, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The bike had to be towed.
