Lehighton state police investigate thefts, vandalism

State police at the Lehighton barracks report the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that was reported to them at 4:27 p.m. June 13.

A Palmerton resident reported someone damaged his mailbox on Margaret Street in Towamensing Township.

• The theft of a two-piece tan composite glider and bench from the porch of the Zurn Realty building on Indian Trail in Penn Forest Township is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said the glider and bench, valued at $800, were stolen between 11 a.m. June 20 and 9 a.m. June 22.

• A 58-year-old woman reported her home was entered along Dotters Corner Road in Polk Township, sometime between May 16 and June 16. Removed was a Xbox.

• Police are investigating the theft of a registration plate from a boat trailer.

The Saylorsburg resident reported at 9:52 a.m. June 14 that someone stole the plate from the trailer at 102 Milton Lane, Ross Township. The plate number is XV81395.
