State police at Frackville police log

State police at Frackville reported on the following recent incidents at Schuylkill County locations:

• On Saturday at 2:04 p.m. troopers responded to Morea Road in Mahanoy Township for an incident. Troopers said Gera Borrero Laracuente, 37, of Wilkes-Barre, engaged in an argument with a 26-year-old man from Barnesville over the price of a water at a unamed store. Before leaving the store Laracuente spit on the victim striking him on the right shoulder.

Laracuente was cited for harassment.

• Troopers responded to West Main Street in Girardville for a burglary at 10:06 p.m. June 19. Through an investigation it was determined that a 33-year-old man from Girardville, who troopers declined to identify, gained entry to the residence through a basement window. The resident, a 37-year-old woman, heard the suspect and an argument took place. The suspect then fled the scene, leaving stolen items behind. He was later located and taken into custody.

He was charged with burglary and related counts, arraigned before a district judge, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail.

• A 43-year-old woman from Allentown, who troopers declined to identify, was stopped about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, for a traffic violation operating a 2007 Dodge. She was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges will be filed.

• State police at Frackville said Michael Monahan, 40, of Ringtown, was stopped driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra at South Lehigh Avenue at West Oak Street in Frackville at 8:01 a.m. on June 11 for a traffic violation. At the stop troopers learned that Monahan was not properly licensed and was failing to use an ignition interlock system as required. He was also in possession of a controlled substance and found to have a summary arrest warrant.

He was taken into custody on the warrant. Troopers said charges of drug possession and other counts will be filed against him.

• Troopers said a 31-year-old woman from Shenandoah reported that she had been potentially sexually assaulted while sleeping. She said the incident occurred six days earlier, which would made it June 14. She also told troopers she may have been involuntarily impaired during the incident.

• A 57-year-old Pottsville man is the victim of a theft.

Police said the man reported at 1:45 p.m. June 21 that someone took $800 from his wallet while he was at a motel along Altamont Boulevard in West Brunswick Township.
