Mauch Chunk Opera House welcomes Vic DiBitetto Saturday

Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe will welcome comedian Vic DiBitetto on Saturday in its first show since the pandemic closed venues nationwide earlier this year. DiBitetto will perform at 6 and 9 p.m.

DiBitetto, a New York comedian turned internet sensation, is known for his viral videos and characters Tony Gaga, That Guy, Frankie Pentangelli, Fool by the Pool and Ticked Off Vic.

His Yankee and Giant locker room satires have made him a household name; and his “Bread and Milk” video is like a Christmas carol that comes back on TV, radio and news outlets every time it snows almost anywhere in the world.

During his shows, DiBitetto holds no hostages, and says what you are thinking but are afraid to say out loud.

Regularly featured on the nationally syndicated daytime TV show “Right This Minute,” DiBitetto currently hosts a digital TV show “Vic’s Picks.”

He has performed at many of the best comedy venues such as New York City’s Dangerfield’s Los Angeles’ Laugh Factory, Las Vegas’ Riviera Hotel and Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel.

He has also opened shows for comedian Pat Cooper and the musical group Jay and the Americas and tours in a show called “Comedy You Can’t Refuse.”

Carbon County is in Gov. Tom Wolf’s green phase of reopening, meaning that venues can operate at 50% capacity.

That means, according to a release earlier this month, Mauch Chunk Opera House, located at 14 W. Broadway, can welcome approximately 180 patrons for a show. The venue is also following guidelines of social distancing and wearing masks.
