The New Choices Program at Northampton Community College is offering a free, online class that can help dislocated workers, single parents, displaced homemakers, and career changers figure out the next step during times of transition. The upcoming class runs June 22-26 daily from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
This class will focus on how to create good resumes for online applications and look at the nuances of online applying and job search. In addition we will strive to build confidence, set goals and help with decision making. This is a chance to be connected with others and gain support through a Zoom class.
To sign up, email Jane Pennington, program facilitator, at jpennington@northampton.edu.
Participants need:
1) Zoom capability with internet service for smooth connection.
2) A solid commitment to 1 hour and 15 minutes a day for five days.
3) To complete the New Choices Intake Form and register with jobgateway.pa.gov
4) Individual “meetings” would be available after class time to work on resumes and have discussion.
