A motorcycle driver was injured Saturday afternoon in a crash along Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township.

The biker was traveling east just past the Palmerton exit when the crash occurred.

The Aquashicola fire company responded, blocking off the right lane.

The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
