The Baer Memorial Swimming Pool in Lehighton will open June 13.

Previous members can purchase memberships at the first discounted rate on the pool flyer. New memberships and daily admission will only be available to Lehighton residents.

Evening swim lessons will start at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. June 22; morning lessons will start at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. July 2. Anyone interested can sign up at the pool office starting June 14.

• Capacity will be 250 people

• Face masks are required.

• Children do not need to wear a face mask

• No swimming with a face mask

• The pool will be encouraging the 6 feet social distancing in and out of the pool

• The concession stand will have a limited menu

• Condiments will be placed with your food order

• Lifeguards will be sanitizing railings and ladders and picnic tables every half-hour

• Bathrooms will be cleaned every hour

• The pool will be limiting how many people are allowed in the restrooms at a single time

• Pool parties will be limited to 25 people until the state changes the group gathering number

• Those interested in reserving a pool party may contact the pool

In order for this to work, everyone has to work together to keep everyone safe at the facility. More information will follow before the pool’s opening day.
