443 new COVID-19 cases in Pa.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of midnight that there are 443 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 74,385.

There are 5,886 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 69 new deaths.

Carbon County has 245 cases. The death total remained level at 24.

Lehigh County added 12 cases, and now has a total of 3,829. Three deaths were reported for a total of 245.

Luzerne reported nine cases, bringing the total to 2,773, with one new death for a total of 157.

Monroe County also has two new cases for a total of 1,335. Monroe’s death total is at 102.

Northampton has 12 new cases for a total of 3,136. Four new deaths have been reported for a total of 229.

In Schuylkill, two new cases bring the total to 653, with one new death for a total of 38.

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 15,929 resident cases of COVID-19, and 2,768 cases among employees, for a total of 18,697 at 611 distinct facilities in 45 counties. Out of our total deaths, 4,077 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.

Approximately 5,659 of our total cases are in health care workers.
