Five people were injured late Monday afternoon, including at least one child, in a head-on collision in Lower Towamensing Township. The crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. along Little Gap Road. Members of the Aquashicola Fire Company aided in extricating the victims from the wreckage. Five ambulances including Lehighton paramedics treated the victims at the scene before transporting them to area trauma centers. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
