Franklin Township has agreed to spend $81,318 for a track loader.
On a unanimous measure, supervisors on Tuesday agreed to buy a Caterpillar 279D3 compact track loader with an 18-inch cold planer and a utility broom.
The track loader will be purchased from Cleveland Brothers at the COSTARS price of $81,318.
Supervisor Robin Cressley, who also serves as township roadmaster, said the equipment is a skid loader with a pickup broom.
After the meeting, township secretary Brenda Neeb said the township will use money from its capital road machinery equipment fund to pay for the track loader.
