The Lehighton Water Authority lifted the boil water advisory Wednesday.

It had been in effect since just before midnight Friday night, according to Pat Mriss, assistant superintendent of the water authority.

Mriss said repairs were completed Saturday, and that the systemwide boil advisory would remain in effect until further notice because samples had to be taken to the lab.

In a post over the weekend, the authority said its normal boil advisories are for 72 hours.
