A look back: April 18, 1989

A Banks Township couple hit on all six correct Wild Card Lotto numbers in last week’s $7 million-plus drawing.

Dolores and Joseph Hornick Sr. of Coxeville stand to collect $2,514,620.43, thanks to a Quick Pick on the lottery machine in Bernie’s Variety Store in Beaver Meadows.

Two other tickets contained all six numbers, so the Hornicks had to settle for a third of the total prize money.

The couple, married for 33 years, owns H. and W. Oil Company, Coxeville. He is also a representative of the Baltimore Life Insurance Company.

Their son Joseph is Carbon County’s juvenile court officer.
