, 222 North St., Lehighton: Pastor Tim Ream will be streaming our Palm Sunday worship service this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. via Facebook Live. The broadcast can be accessed on Facebook by searching for and liking @BethanyECLehighton. Wednesday Lenten Services are also available on Facebook Live at 7 p.m. April 8. There will be no Sunday school classes, and all other activities are suspended this week with the exception of worship services. • Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church

, 824 Catawissa Road, Lewistown Valley, is canceling all services for the next two weeks.

• Diocese of Allentown: All public Masses will be canceled, effective immediately. Some Masses will be broadcast on television and streamed online. Those options will be posted on the AD Today website, https://www.ad-today.com.

• Diocese of Scranton: All public Masses will be canceled, effective immediately. Masses will be streamed at www.dioceseofscranton.org.

• Effort UMC

has canceled worship services and other church activities for April. Watch for future updates. Check for a link for an online Sunday morning worship on the church website effortumc.org. • Jerusalem UCC,

545 Church Drive, Trachsville, will not hold Sunday services in the church building April 5. They will livestream on Facebook if the internet and technologies are working. Plan for an 11 a.m. start time.

• Middlecreek Christian Church

, Kresgeville, will be live on its Facebook page at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The church building will not be open.

• Our Lady Queen of Peace Church

• Pleasant Valley Presbyterian, Brodheadsville

, is currently closed as the Elders have decided that there would not be any worship services until health conditions improve and to stay in compliance with the current stay-at-home order that is in place.

• Primitive Methodist

has canceled all Sunday services canceled until further notice. Hope In The Mountains NAR-ANON Family Group meets at 57 Hunter St. If you have questions or are interested in attending these meetings, contact Mark at 570-952-5098. Next tentative meeting date will be April 6.

• St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning

, 826 Mahoning Drive W., Lehighton, has canceled worship service and all other events.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church

, 319 South Ave., Jim Thorpe, is suspending Saturday and Sunday and all Lenten services plus all other activities until further notice. Please stay tuned to weekly broadcasts on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on station WLSH, Lansford, 1410 on your AM radio dial for further updates on schedules. We will have live broadcasts with the Rev. Peter Muhr and the choir but no one in attendance. People can also refer to the website at sthohnsinjimthorpe.org for updates.

• St. John Lutheran Church,

in Tamaqua, has announced that services for April 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 9 Holy Thursday are canceled. All activities are suspended until further notice.

• St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley

in Summit Hill has announced all Masses, both weekday and weekend, are suspended. All scheduled Mass intentions will be celebrated by the Rev. Allen Hoffa on their scheduled day during a private Mass. These private Masses will be live streamed at 8 a.m. on weekdays and Sunday via the parish Facebook page. All parish activities are suspended.

The church will be open daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed during this time, and all are welcome to visit for prayer and reflection. There will be no formal benediction at the end of the day.

In place of the regularly scheduled Mass times, confession will be available in the church from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on weekdays, 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Sunday. Holy Communion, Confession, and the Anointing of the Sick will only be administered outside of church to those in danger of death. Funerals will continue to be held, but only family members are permitted to attend. The number of attendees is limited to 50 people or less.

The parish office will remain open for business during regular operating hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, has canceled all services and activities. Check https://stmattsucckunkletown.com for updates, weekly videos of sermons and bulletins that can be used for family and personal prayer.

, 260 N. Third St., Lehighton, announces the following changes due to the coronavirus:

On Sundays the church will be open for private prayer from 10 a.m. to noon. At 11 a.m. we will expose the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration. I will be available for confession from 11 a.m. to noon, when the Blessed Sacrament will be reposed.

On weekdays, except Tuesday, and Saturdays, the church will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. for private prayer. At 5 p.m. we will expose the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration. I will be available for Confession from 5 to 6 p.m., when the Blessed Sacrament will be reposed.

I began to offer daily Mass privately, recording it for YouTube broadcast on my personal channel. I am hoping to get Facebook livestreaming too, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 8 a.m.; Wednesday at 10 a.m.; and Sunday at 9 a.m.

, Saylorsburg, has no worship services or Bible study until the coronavirus lockdown is lifted.

• Salvation Army,

Tamaqua, will hold its Sunday services remotely Sunday on Facebook Live at 11 a.m.

• All worship services, activities and meetings are canceled through April 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church

, 175 S. Third St. The building is locked down. The church’s phone number is 610-377-4303 for those needing assistance. Messages will be answered remotely and delivered to the proper person.

Worship services will be recorded by the Rev. Nancy Moore or Vicar Joshua Krenz with links posted on the website www.tlclehighton.com, and on Facebook www.Facebook.com/TrinityLehighton. In addition, look on the Trinity Facebook page for “Bible Moments with Pastor Moore” starting April 2.

The Trinity Food Pantry will remain open during Tuesday hours 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the third Tuesday 5:30-7 p.m. The drive-up policy is in place, including stay-in-your-vehicle restriction.

• Zion Church, Lewistown Valley

will be closed. All activities and meetings are canceled, including the Lenten services. The fundraising committee has canceled the candy making for Easter Pretzel orders. Any payments made will be refunded.

• Zion Lutheran Church

in Brodheadsville has gone to Facebook, with Pastor Ann Melot providing the service. The Facebook page is Zion United Lutheran Church, ELCA.

• Zion Lutheran Church

in Tamaqua will offer a 10-minute morning prayer livestreamed video on its Facebook page and website weekdays at 9 a.m. The Rev. Cindy White will read a selected Bible verse and offer a brief message or song.

Individuals with specific prayer requests can email those requests to Pastor White between 8:30 and 8:55 a.m. each morning at zionlutheranrev@gmail.com. Morning Prayer will be recorded and available on the Zion Facebook page and website (www.ziontamaqua.com). Zion’s Saturday evening relaxed service at 5:30 p.m. and its Sunday traditional service at 9 a.m. are also livestreamed and recorded for later viewing.

• Zion Stone Church

, New Ringgold has announced that all services are canceled. Worship services will be posted to YouTube and Facebook.

• Zion UCC Lehighton

has canceled all activities this week. The office is closed. There is an emergency number on the answering service. Zion UCC will be doing small Facebook “live” worship services on our Facebook page. Please follow Zion UCC Lehighton on Facebook.
