• The Compassionate Friends-Carbon County Chapter steering committee has chosen to postpone its spring butterfly release, which was to take place in late May. • The Bowmanstown/Parryville Lions Club is

canceling the block shoot and Chinese auction for April 19. A new date will be determined later. Please hold on to tickets for the meat packs that were sold, and the drawing will be held at the shoot sometime in September. Also, the Bowmanstown/Parryville Lions Club will not have any events or functions for the next 60 days.

• Franklin Township’s Electronic Recycling Day

event scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday has been canceled due to the coronavirus. The event has been rescheduled and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 11 and is for township residents only.

• Blue Shamrock Golf Course

in Palmerton (formerly Blue Ridge Country Club) has canceled all events scheduled for April.
