Officials of the Lehigh Valley Health Network announced Tuesday that the firm is temporarily suspending outpatient rehabilitation services at select locations effective today as part of the network’s ongoing effort to ensure safety of its patients, staff and the community.

LVHN said patients whose appointments are impacted by these temporary closures will be notified and the appointments will be postponed or relocated to a location most convenient for the patient.

Outpatient rehabilitation locations in the Times News area that now have suspended services include Rehabilitation Services in Tamaqua; and Cardiac Rehabilitation Services at the Cedar Crest, Muhlenberg and Schuylkill campuses.

Meanwhile, outpatient rehabilitation services that will remain open include: Rehabilitation Services in Lehighton, Walnutport, Brodheadsville and Blakeslee.
