State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglary reports and a crash.

• The burglary report was received on Feb. 28 from a 58-year-old man from Bethlehem. He reported his residence along Vixen Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County, was entered. No other details were given.

• On Feb. 25 a 73-year-old man from Palmerton reported someone entered his unoccupied residence along Silver Fox Drive in Polk Township. A power tool was taken. Troopers said the investigations are continuing.

• A Carbon County driver is facing charges following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:42 p.m. on Feb. 27 along Kunkletown Road in Ross Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Joshua T. Everitt, 47, of Palmerton, was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger westbound when he attempted to slow down by applying his brakes to maneuver around an animal crossing the road. Everitt lost control of the vehicle which went onto the right shoulder and struck an embankment, the Ranger then rolled over and came to final rest.

Everitt was not injured. He was cited for not having a valid license.
