March 5, 2001 — Palmerton graduate Nicole Levandusky scores 11 points to help the Xavier women’s basketball team defeat George Washington, 81-56, in the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game. Levandusky, the Times News area all-time leading scorer with 2,662 points, also finishes with five rebounds and five assists for the Musketeers, who win their 17th consecutive contest. Levandusky will finish the season with 110 steals, which remains a single-season school record. She also ends her career with 1,755 points and school records of 375 steals and 304 three-pointers.
