Bethany EC Church

This Week at Lehighton Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, Blakeslee Boulevard, Lehighton 5 a.m.; choir rehearsal, 7 p.m.

Sunday: Pastor Tim Ream, Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, Coffee & Conversation 10:15-10:45 a.m., worship service 10:45 a.m.; Girl Scout Sunday. Daylight saving time begins!

Wednesday: Youth group, 6 p.m.; Lenten service, 7 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Foundations class: Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Women’s fellowship breakfast: Third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity Highlights

First Saturday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., including Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, begins at 5 p.m. Gluten-free wafers are available for those with allergy issues.

Sunday worship begins at 9:30 a.m. with music provided by the Praise Band. Included during this time is presentation and recognition of Girl Scouts. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in food, conversation and youth group activities 5-7 p.m. on March 8, 15 and 22 at the second floor youth room. Vicar Joshua Krenz is the youth adviser.

A midweek Lenten series of soup and devotions continue March 11, 18, 25 and concludes April 1. Soup suppers begin at 6 p.m. in Luther Hall. The themed devotions “At the Name of Jesus” begin at 7 p.m. in the church.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information at 1 p.m. March 15. Pastor will share information with those desiring to seek membership at Trinity at 1 p.m. March 22. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register.
