A Carbon County man has been accused of stealing lottery tickets from his employer.

State police at Lehighton said they were called to Beltzville Beverage, 70 Church Road, Towamensing Township, on Feb. 20 for a report of an employee stealing scratch-off lottery tickets. The thefts occurred during the time frame of December 2019 to the present.

The employee was identified as Robert Janco, 29, of Palmerton. Troopers indicated about $7,365 worth of tickets were taken. The investigation is continuing.
