State police at Fern Ridge are investigating an incident of phone fraud on two elderly Jackson Township, Monroe County, residents.

Troopers said the man and woman, both 72, were deceived by a person who claimed to be an Amazon employee in the returns department named Rich Parker. He instructed the victims to give passwords for their Social Security numbers to him.

Using this information, Parker was able to transfer $713 out of their bank account.
