February 21, 1958 — Four Nesquehoning players reach double-digit scoring to help the Warriors gain a 65-50 Black Diamond League victory over Jim Thorpe. Eddie Kocha and Bill Sotak both score 15 points to pace the winners, who lead by only three points at halftime before using a big second half to pull away from the Olympians. The Nesquers, coached by George Roscoe, also receive 12 points from Bill Gardiner, while Mike Kassander chips in with 10 and Bob Roman adds nine. For Thorpe, Gene Mullen tallies a game-high 16 points.
