Principe sisters star for PSU Hazleton

Sisters Meghann and Camille Principe of Jim Thorpe had outstanding seasons for the Penn State Hazleton soccer team.

Meghann is a senior and was a four-year starter for the Lions. Camille is a junior and has been a three-year starter who has one more year of eligibility remaining.

This past fall, they both played key roles in helping PSU Hazleton reach the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) women’s soccer championship at State College.

Meghann started on defense and was named a All-PSUAC First Team All-Star. She was also named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Second Team All-American. In addition, Meghann was named to the USCAA All-Academic Team. It was the second consecutive year that she received all three of those accolades.

Camille started 12 of the Lions’ 13 games, scoring a goal and picking up two assists. She was a USCAA All-Academic team member for the second straight year.

Penn State Hazleton finished the season with a 9-4-1 overall record and a 3-2-1 conference mark.
