Kidder OKs timbering at site of warehouse

Kidder Township supervisors were unanimous in giving the approval needed for the Exeter Property Group on Thursday to cut trees on the site of the new warehouse to be built on Route 940.

Cutting is expected to begin toward the end of the month.

The work needs to be complete by April due to Pennsylvania laws protecting the area’s bat population.

Supervisors have granted conditional preliminary approval for the 922,000 square-foot warehouse to be built along Route 940 east of the Turnpike.

Once all the agency approvals are in place, construction is planned for early summer — sooner if permits are approved.

The regular Kidder Township supervisors meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the township building in Lake Harmony.
