State police at Frackville are investigating a hit and run crash that was reported on Tuesday in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said a vehicle was traveling along Route 924 in an unknown direction and came to the intersection with East Pine Street.

Troopers said it is assumed that a large truck struck overhead power lines at the intersection, dislodging them from a pole. The downed wires were found laying on the side of the road. PPL was called to the scene. There were no witnesses to the incident, troopers added.
