Fern Ridge Police report on crashes

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on several crashes:

• Amelia M. Dodson, 30, of Effort, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 3:22 p.m. Saturday on the Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she was driving a 2009 Subaru Legacy northbound when she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a turn in the roadway. The car went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

She was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

Police were assisted at the scene by the West End EMS and fire police and Borger’s Towing.

• Desiree Guerrero, 23, of Bethlehem, and Xoria A. Parsons, 22, of Albrightsville, who were occupants of a vehicle that crashed at 7:01 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, escaped injuries in the crash, police said.

Police said Guerrero was driving the 2015 Honda Civic that crashed into a ditch. Parsons was her passenger.

Police said the driver was cited for the crash.

Police were assisted at the scene by Jimmy’s Auto.

• The driver of a 2013 Audi A4 that crashed and landed in a ditch in Penn Forest Township escaped injuries, according to police.

It happened at 11:06 a.m. Jan. 8 on Teddyuscung Trail in the township.

Police said the driver was northbound and unable to maintain control of the Audi, which drove off the left shoulder of the roadway and landed in the ditch. The car was towed from the scene.

Police said the driver, whose name was not released, was cited in the crash.
