The total market value of the Schuylkill County retirement fund as of Dec. 31, 2019, was $146,612,983. As of Jan. 15, the total market value was $148,127,402.

Retirement benefits for December 2019 were $694,782. This comes from the pension fund. Retirement health care costs for December 2019 were $398,377. This comes from the county’s general fund. Payments from the county general fund to the retirement fund were $2,178,493 in 2019.

The Retirement Board approved a 1 percent increase in fees from Korn Ferry, Philadelphia, which provides actuarial services for the retirement fund. The monthly fee will increase from $2,671 to $2,697.
