The continuing hearings on the proposal by Broad Mountain Power to build a windmill farm to generate electricity atop Broad Mountain in Packer Township resume at 6 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held at Packer Township’s municipal building, 2234 Hudson Drive, Weatherly.

Testimony will continue by opponents of the project.

In the last hearing in late December, testimony was given about the Packer Township codes and zoning. Before that, testimony was given about how property values can diminish due to perceptions about wind turbines, and the change to one’s view from a property.

The next scheduled hearing date after this one will be Jan. 27 at a location to be announced.
