Towamensing will wait until the end of this month to adopt next year’s budget, supervisors decided earlier this week.

Supervisors agreed Thursday to advertise the 2020 budget, which according to the township office totals almost $1.26 million. Last year’s budget, which came out to just over $1.3 million, passed without an increase in taxes.

Whether or not the 2020 budget features a tax hike has not been announced; but an advertisement regarding it will run Saturday, the township office also said.

The budget will be adopted at a Dec. 30 meeting.
