Carbon County Environmental Education Center has a lot going on in the coming months.

Sign up for any of these events. Preregistration is easy: Just call 570-645-8597, and leave a message if you get the machine. Leave your name and phone number, and how many people you’re registering for an event.

• Saturday: Celebrate the changing seasons by creating your own hand-painted wine bottle lamp in this class. You can choose from one of the offered designs or paint your own. The class is led by artisan Deborah Pfeiffer of Artistic Botanicals and the Saucon Valley Art League. All supplies, except the bottle, are included in the fee. • Dec. 7: Adult Art Class: Snow on Evergreens will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Snow falling on the evergreens is a most beautiful sight in winter. Join artist Jean Perry for this free-spirited acrylic-on-canvas art class. The session includes a brief study of the style of these artists and a demonstration on how to apply their techniques. Acrylic painting can be messy, so participants are reminded to dress appropriately for working in this medium. All materials are supplied in the ticket price.

• Dec. 11: Brighten up the holiday with some handcrafted items: Yule logs, wreaths, jewelry crafts, gift bags and tree ornaments will be available for everyone. The event starts at 6 p.m. Holiday music and refreshments will round out the night. Preregistration is a must. All ages are welcome. Call for fee information.
