Saylorsburg woman accused of threatening to shoot up church and food bank

A Saylorsburg woman accused of threatening to shoot up a local church and food bank is in Monroe County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Patricia Bohner, 65, faces charges of terroristic threats and harassment.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by state police at Fern Ridge, Thomas Richards, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, reported on Sunday that Bohner threatened to shoot up the Assembly of God Church in Brodheadsville.

“Richards stated that she was going to go to the Assembly of God Church and has a rifle to shoot people, and then after the church she was going to go to a food bank to use a shotgun to shoot people,” the affidavit stated.

Bohner was taken into custody at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Brodheadsville and denied all allegations.

She remains in prison in lieu of $20,000 cash bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Colleen Mancuso on Friday at 10 a.m.
