State police at Frackville said troopers are investigating a report from a 47-year-old woman that she had been poisoned.

Troopers said the victim, from West Mahanoy Township, claimed on Tuesday that she believed she had been poisoned by her boyfriend inside her residence. Troopers said “the associated items involved with the incident were taken into evidence.”

The investigation is pending, troopers said.
