The Service of Healing with prayers and the “laying on of hands” are said for those to help ease one’s emotional, physical and spiritual burdens. Prayer shawls are handmade by volunteers, and are to be used in times of joy or sorrow and ordinary times as a form of comfort during daily faith practices. The prayer shawls are available at no cost.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in food, conversation and youth group activities from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the second floor youth room. Vicar Joshua Krenz is the youth adviser.

Blessing of the Animals is at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 6 in the church parking lot. Please have your pets leashed and crated, and be prepared to clean up after your pet. The ceremony coincides with the remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi, for his love of all creatures.
