The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork this week:

Carbon County

• Franklin Township, Route 209 between Rock Street and Harrity Road, bridge repair, lane restriction in the southbound directions for bridge repair work to the bridge over Pohopoco Creek, through Sept. 23.

• Nesquehoning, Route 54, Route 209 and Schuylkill County line, shoulder work/widening, lane restriction, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Lehighton/Palmerton, Route 248, from Route 209 to the Northampton County line, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Saturday, lane restriction in both directions.

• Parryville: Route 248 West, between Club Road and Center Street, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Friday.

Monroe County

• Hamilton Township: Route 33, between Route 209 and Route 611, bridge inspection, northbound lane restriction 9 a.m. to noon, and southbound lane, noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Lehigh County

• Whitehall and Hanover townships, Route 22, between Route 145 (MacArthur Road/Seventh Street) and Route 987/Airport Road, 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., lane restrictions through Friday.

• Upper Macungie: Interstate 78 East, between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Northampton County line, shoulder restriction, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Tuesday; I-78 West, between the Northampton County Line and Route 100, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

• I-78, between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Exit 57 (Lehigh Street), 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• I-78, Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Exit 60 (Route 309), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Schuylkill County

• Frailey Township: Interstate 81, between: Exit 107 (Route 209) and Exit 112 (Route 25), lane restriction on I-81 north and south for work on a bridge over Reading Blue Mountain Rail Road. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone, 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.

• Schuylkill Township: Butler and New Castle townships, Interstate 81, Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (Route 61), single lane on I-81 north and south from 9 a.m. Tuesday through noon Friday.
