A Monroe County driver was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 10:38 a.m. on Aug. 16 at the intersection of Route 222 and Krocks Road, in Lower Macungie Township.

Troopers said Ronald W. Stortz, 76, of Allentown, was driving a 2014 Kia Sorento on Route 222 and attempting a left turn onto Krocks Road at a yellow traffic light. As he turned, the light turned red, but Stortz continued to turn.

James A. Cribb, 66, of Saylorsburg, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, was approaching the light on Route 222. The front of Stortz’s SUV struck the passenger side of Cribb’s truck.

Cribb had a minor injury and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Stortz was not injured. Troopers cited Stortz for traffic control signal violation.
