Lehighton restaurant cited by liquor board

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Beacon 443, 35 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton, was cited on July 16 for furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to imposed penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
