Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas. Times and locations vary.

• BYOB: Brand Your Own Business Series runs on Thursdays, Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 7 and Dec. 12, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. An additional full-series class will be held from Sept. 12 through Dec. 12. This course will help students learn how to create a strong brand and manage your company. The course in September will be about taking your idea to reality; who/what/why/when/how. The October course will cover how to build your own brand and get the word out with 21st century marketing. The November course will cover resource management and the December course will cover networking.

• Enrolled Agent — Businesses runs on Wednesdays, Sept. 4 through Nov. 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. Prepare business tax returns for business entities as partnerships, corporations and S corporations along with sales/credits/SE tax.

• Enrolled Agent — Representation, Practices and Procedures will run from Nov. 13 through Dec. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. In this course students will learn how to represent before the IRS, specific types of representation, and completion of the filing process.

• Grant Writing Boot Camp is a class that will run on Nov. 9 from 8:30 a.m. though 12:30 p.m. In this boot camp, board members, community volunteers and upper-level business management are all encouraged to join in and learn about research, develop grant opportunities, key grant proposals, types of funding sources and private donations.
