Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ream, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Wednesday: Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Trinity Highlights

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Included during the worship will be presentation of scholarships to students and seminarians enrolled in schools of higher learning.

The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists. The church is air-conditioned.

The closing program of Vacation Bible School is Aug. 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m., with the theme “Who’s Your Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus.”

Jack and Jill Preschool’s Sunday Sundae Event is 6-7 p.m. Sunday. Families from the community with preschool age children are invited for free ice cream sundaes, meet the staff, tour the school, and learn registration information in this informal setting.
