The Schuylkill County Veterans Trip Organization is hosting a trip to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 21 and the employees of Silberline Manufacturing in Tamaqua are helping 24 veterans enjoy the trip. The excursion will visit the war memorials and allows veterans to participate in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier wreath laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery. The Schuylkill County Veterans Trip Organization provides the transportation, meals and snacks to the veterans at no charge, since there are so many veterans who cannot afford, are disabled, or otherwise do not have the means to make the trip.
