A Schuylkill County jury found a Minersville man guilty of aggravated assault and simple assault, in a trial held June 10.

Samuel T. Steffie Jr., 48, was arrested Sept. 19, 2018, by Minersville Police Officer Richard Clink. Steffie was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and two counts of harassment.

The jury found him guilty of aggravated assault and simple assault. The second simple assault charge was dismissed. Schuylkill County Judge James P. Goodman ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for 1 p.m. July 22.
