Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m. Open to anyone in the community who might like to share in the ministry by crocheting or knitting shawls for individuals in need of spiritual comforting.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity Happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Included during this time is the Rite of Confirmation for five young people. Gluten-free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. A reception follows in the parish hall.

Sunday church school classes resume Sept. 8 after a summer break. Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 5-9, with the theme “Who’s Your Neighbor?”

The final gathering before summer break of the “Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 is 5 p.m. Sunday for “game night.” Vicar Rich is the adviser.

A family-friendly Father’s Day cookout is from 4-6 p.m. June 15. Sunday is the deadline to register for this free event.

Dedication of the new cranberry-colored Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnals will be June 23. The green-colored Lutheran Books of Worship will be retired.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information at 11:30 a.m. June 16. For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information at 11 a.m. June 23. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register.

Do you love to sew or want to learn? Attention to youth grades 5 and up to attend a sewing group to complete a service project. Sessions will be 10 a.m. to noon July 9, 16, 23, 30 in the youth room. Register by contacting the church office before July 7.
