Director Richard Fries conducts the Pottsville Third Brigade Band at a concert Tuesday evening at East End Playground in Tamaqua. The historic musical organization is the third oldest band in the country, tracing its origins to 1849. The event, free to the public, was made possible by sponsor Jamie Greenzweig Insurance Agency in conjunction with the East End Playground Association.
