The Birches jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 12-2 victory over Roseto.

Mychal Kearns had three hits and a pair of RBIs for the Birches, Dallas Greinzweig had a double, a triple, two RBIs, and three runs scored, and Brandon Ratti had two hits and scored twice.

Ratti and Kearns also combined for the pitching victory. Ratti went four innings and struck out five, while Kearns worked three innings and fanned seven.

Jim Thorpe rolled to a 9-2 victory over Palmerton.

DJ Richenbacher had a strong performance on the mound for Thorpe, tossing six innings of one-hit ball and striking out five.

Offensively for Jim Thorpe, Spencer Hunsicker had a double, a triple and three RBIs, Brandon Fasolino had two hits and scored two runs, and Ian Hubbard added a two-run single..

Northern Valley-Moore Twp.

Brian McGaughran’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning gave Moore Township a 3-2 walk-off victory over Northern Valley.

Tanner Romig doubled in both of Northern Valley’s runs. Cole Hausman added a hit and a run scored.

Josh Kistler pitched well in a losing effort for Northern Valley, allowing just four hits and two runs in six-and-two-thirds innings of work. He struck out eight.
